At Busy Bee Play Cafe, we're committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment where children can explore, learn, and play. Please help us maintain this special space by following these important guidelines.
General Safety Rules
For Children
Grippy Socks Required - All children must wear grippy socks at all times in play areas (available for purchase at front desk)
No Outside Food or Drinks - Only food and beverages purchased from our Cafe are permitted
Stay Within Your Age Zone - Play in areas designed for your age group
Use Equipment Safely - Climb, slide, and play as intended no standing on slides or climbing on barriers
Be Kind to Others - Share equipment, take turns, and use gentle hands and words
Listen to Staff - Our team is here to help keep everyone safe and happy
For Parents & Caregivers
Active Supervision Required - Parents/caregivers must remain in the facility and actively supervise their children at all times
One Adult Per Family Minimum - At least one adult must accompany each family group
Stay Alert - Please limit phone use to ensure you can monitor your children
Age-Appropriate Play - Help younger children navigate equipment safely
Report Concerns - Notify staff immediately of any safety concerns or incidents
Respect Other Families - Be mindful of noise levels and personal space in the Cafe area
Clean Up Together - Help your children tidy play areas before moving to new spaces
Age Zone Guidelines
Infant & Toddler Area (0-2 years)
✓ Soft, age-appropriate equipment for earliest explorers
✓ Parents must stay within arm's reach of children in this age group
✓ Only children 2 and under permitted in this designated space
Preschool Zone (3-8 years)
✓ Interactive play equipment designed for developing motor skills
✓ Parents should remain nearby to assist as needed
✓ Children should use caution around younger kids in mixed spaces
Play Area Specific Rule
Mini Town
Take turns with role-play equipment
Return items to proper places after use
Use indoor voices
Soft Play Castle
One child on slide at a time
Climb up (not down) the climbing structures
No jumping from elevated platforms
Health & Hygiene
Please Do Not Visit If:
Your child has had a fever in the last 24 hours
Your child is showing symptoms of illness (cough, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea)
Your child has a contagious condition (pink eye, lice, hand-foot-mouth, etc.)
Anyone in your household has been exposed to a contagious illness in the past 48 hours
While Here:
Use hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility
Cover coughs and sneezes
Wash hands after using the restroom
Alert staff if your child has an accident
What's Not Allowed
❌ Running in Cafe areas
❌ Climbing on furniture or barriers
❌ Rough play or pushing
❌ Outside toys or equipment
❌ Shoes in play areas
❌ Food or drinks in play zones
❌ Pets (except service animals)
❌ Smoking or vaping
❌ Weapons of any kind
Lost & Found

Check the front desk for lost items

Busy Bee Play Cafe is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings

Label your child's belongings
Emergency Procedures
In case of emergency:

Staff will direct all families to designated exit routes

Follow staff instructions calmly and quickly

Emergency contact information from waivers will be used if needed
Photography & Privacy

We occasionally take photos/videos for marketing purposes

Photos/video consent is included in our facility waiver signed at check-in

Please be respectful of other families' privacy when taking your own photos
Enforcement
For the safety and enjoyment of all guests:

Staff may ask families to modify behavior that violates these rules

Repeated violations may result in being asked to leave without refund

Serious safety violations may result in membership suspension
Birthday Party Guidelines
During private party times:

Only party guests and their families may use reserved play areas

Party hosts will review specific party rules

General playground rules still apply
